It can sometimes be difficult to purchase ethically and you can’t always trust brands that claim to be ‘sustainable’ but with this app, you can browse through unbiased ratings on ethical products.

3. 30 Wears

This app encourages you to wear every piece of clothing you own at least 30 times in order to avoid impulse purchases. Simply by uploading selfies of your already owned items of clothing, you can keep track of what you’re wearing day-to-day.

4. Whering

This app allows you to quickly and easily digitise your wardrobes and receive styling suggestions and personalised product recommendations based on the items you already own. This app is for you if you’re someone who doesn’t have time in the morning to sort through all of your clothes to figure out what to wear.

5. Sojo

The new Deliveroo-style app for clothing alterations and repairs. Need a dress altered or repaired? Simply specify a pickup location, and someone will arrive to collect your items and deliver them to your local seamstress, and then once finished, they will deliver them back to you.

6. Rotaro

Rotaro is a clothing rental platform that allows you to experiment with styles, discover new brands and extend the life of your clothes without creating waste.

This app encourages you to make small sustainable steps in your everyday life and track the overall impact you have. For example, it allows you to log when you have taken a shorter shower, used a reusable bag at the supermarket, or turned off the light when leaving a room.

The app that gives food another chance! Too Good To Go allows you to rescue unsold food from your local shops and restaurants to save it going to waste.

The search engine that plants trees! Your searches plant trees in some of the harshest places on Earth. These trees will benefit people, the environment, and local economies. It works just like any other internet browser, but every 45 searches, it is estimated that you will plant one tree, allowing you to browse the internet for hours, guilt-free!

With Olio, you can help reduce food and waste in your area. Simply snap a photo of your unwanted item(s), set a pickup location, and anyone in your local area will be notified. From our experience, it’s quick and easy, and is a great way to get rid of stuff you no longer use/need.
